Dark wooden case with a central auspicious motif in repoussé brass, with repoussé brass mounts protecting the sides and edges, and a movable locking latch. An ethnographic and medical-historical rarity in collector’s quality.

Complete set arranged in two trapezoidal shaped trays connected by metal hinges, comprising approx. 10 traditional forged iron instruments, partly decorated with engraved ornament. Wooden lid with polychrome painting depicting a mythological scene of a female enlightened figure standing on a saddle cloth adorned with precious jewels before an altar wall, within a landscape with monasteries, symbolic animals, ritual objects, horses, and gazelles. Bolt closure, with brass corner and edge mounts. An ethnographic and medical-historical rarity.
